With a formal education in art and a passion for design, Catherine Taylor founded Connecticut Valley Homes in 1981.  “I had visions of helping people build superbly designed homes, using high quality materials, with more amenities than they thought possible,” she says.  As the new business flourished, Richard Wildermuth joined her bringing with him years of technical experience in traditional building methods.

Working side-by-side in their own specialty areas, Cathy and Richard continue to develop their own talents and bring employees with specialized expertise together to enhance every customers building experience.  “There are many different skills needed to bring the initial thought of building a new home to a completion with the family gathered around the fireplace,” says Richard.  Over the years they have organized and refined a step-by-step process to ensure the building process flows easily and produces superior results.
